I have had this wine cellared for awhile and was thinking it wouldn't be so great based on the scores. Also, based on the drink dates I had forgotten about it till I cleaned out the cellar, my mothers day gift to myself, but I am so glad I opened it and waited so long to open it! A hidden gem that just needed some time to reach perfection! We paired it with an asparagus tart which couldn't have been better!

My last bottle and it reminds me of my first. This bottle is definitely much better than the last one I opened. There is a big difference though. I bought this and the first at the winery in Beaune. I've had them since I brought them from France. What a difference storage makes. Glad I opened it. It was ripe, bright, with good structure and minerality. A mouthful! Very good QPR. At least at the 2013 price of $25.

Constant notes. This is a delight even as an aperitif wine. It is a bit fat but it has some acidity to balance things out. It went so well with an antipasto, shrimp in garlic and cheese.

Ripe and fat but quite enjoyable and matched a grilled tuna steak wonderfully. This is drinks more like California Chardonnay than Burgundy.

Drinking at it best now. Good balance of acidity with ripe flavors.
