Almost perfect fill level, cork half saturated and in good condition. Popped, decanted and started drinking immediately. A sweaty gym sock nose blew off in 20 minutes to reveal black fruits with a definite whiff of spray cheese. This still has plenty of fruit left, mostly generic jammy black berries. Lots of mineral and dusty cellar notes, but no leather. Some medicinal notes. Medium smooth tannins, well-integrated, medium acid and body. Opened up nicely over two hours, but then started falling apart into tarter red fruit. It's drinking ok, but it strikes me as too jammy and a little odd. This is definitely over the hill, but it was interesting and worth trying.
