  • (consumed Christmas 2007) Took it to a party where it was quickly finished off by some appreciative wine fans. This was the kind of chardonnay that needed nothing to accompany it...it was wonderful. It's twin had to be dumped because it had gone bad--really bad--but this one survived all the years and stood proud.

  • One of two remaining bottles. I knew this was really over the hill because the wine was slightly cloudy when compared to its sister. I brought both to a party--one to drink, one for a backup should I be right about the wine being spoiled--and was fairly horrified by the wine. It had a bitter, sour and slightly fizzy taste...just awful. Now, don't get me wrong...the wine is wonderful and I'm sure the other would be fine, but the other partygoers weren't as sensitive to the taste as I and proceeded to quaff the rest of the bottle. So, since they didn't really notice what I tasted, I kept the better bottle and will release it soon to a more discerning group.
