  • Good enough. Best with food on the grill.

  • Two years ago I bought this and liked it better than the shingle back bottle priced $10-15 more.... Drink this young because role reversed now I just did side by side and everything is softening except the fruit.. I like shiraz that has more than jammy-ness . This does have that jammy-ness now on "pop".
Day two with some air- I like it more- boosted the score considerably....I now rate this alongside its higher priced sister...,., Decant this wine though

  • Lots of blueberry compote on both the nose and palate, with a savory, herbal, distinctly Aussie (eucalyptus?) cast to the saturated dark berry and pomegranate flavors. This shows the force of a great vintage in Australia, with even value ($10) wines performing well.

  • Midnight deep purple in color. 3.5=8.5% opaque. tight legs taking 5-10 to form.

nose: vanilla, minerals, ripe raisins, and black fruits.

flava: vanilla, cedar, plums, dark cherries, light minerals.

the wine: lacks tannins. low acids. medium to long finish. only downside is the flavor content. The wine itself is very good. Structure is good full bodied. well rounded.

  • This wine got a good professional review, 90 points or more. Don't recall which rater. It's a decent wine. Decant, and give it as much time to breathe as you can afterward, at least an hour. I drank this wine over the course of four days, corking but not pumping the air out of the bottle after each use. It got better each day. Not your typical Oz Shiraz. A little more Old World in style. A good food wine. $12. At that price, may buy again, although I think the professional rating that gave it 90 or over is inflated. Inflated professional rating: big surprise, huh? Drink now through 2016. Overall value: 3.5 stars of 5.
