Prickly first whiff, but surprisingly soft taste. Thought it might have already peaked, but still had a bit of life in it yet. A little glass time rewarded me with a soft, mature sauvignon blanc. Hint of honey in there, and undercurrent of tartness. Yum!

(Efeste Feral Sauvignon Blanc Yakima Valley) A moderately aromatic wine with abundant mineral notes along with herb, lemon verbena, and kumquat. Especially considering the warmth of the vintage, the palate is somewhat leaner in style with a tart, vibrant lick of acidity. The perfect oyster wine. 100% Sauvignon Blanc. Evergreen Vineyard. Aged in neutral French oak. 13.50% alcohol.

Paired perfectly with fish tacos. Light and tangy, with refreshing grapefruit, floral aromas and flavors, that linger gently.

Wallops grass & grapefruit on first pour. Refreshingly dry on the palate with restrained melon and pear fruit and lots of minerality. Impressive.

Taste with Lagniappe at FHE.
Unique nose. Heady mineral driven pine needles. Tasty and different.
