This wine has potential but I don't think it is in its prime just yet. If I had consumed on its own I might think differently but we drank it next to a 2005 Domaine Jafflin Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru which was much smoother and more integrated. Or perhaps this is just an example of what is considered a more "masculine" burgundy. It featured a more complex nose with strong scents of bacon fat compared to the NSG which was more like pines and forest. The tannins were also firmer so it will be interesting to see how it evolves over the next few years.
