  • Sangiovese isn’t really my grape but this one is pretty good. Not particularly aromatic. Perhaps sun dried tomatoes on the nose. Quite tannic medium length a lot of acid. On the palate strawberry, cranberry, tobacco. Fruit is tart and medium juicy.

  • Aged for 3 years in Slovenian oak barrels and a year in a bottle. Medium red colour with fading rim. Medium light intensity and not overly complex aroma of dried flowers, cherries, spices, smoky hints, clove. Medium body, bright acidity kicks in at entry which elegantly dissolves leaving spicy edges on a tongue. Red fruits are dusted with well integrated oak and delicately smoked nuances. Pretty lean and polished structure, dont believe it will evolve any further, so drink up in coming few years.

  • Medium Garnet color. Aromas of sun dried tomatoes and cherries. Medium plus acid, medium minus body and medium plus tannins. Flavors of mild balsamic vinegar, cherries and herbs. Lovely.

  • Really good. Plush fruit but well-balanced with acidity. Tannins softened and drinking really well with pn seared steak. Silky texture gives it real class. Drink or hold.

  • I think it's possible that the other tasters are just trying this wine too young. Decanted for a couple of hours, it is really nice. Medium ruby / garnet. The nose is clean and developing (+), with aromas of red cherry, dried herbs, leather, earth and a nice baking spice note from three years of aging in large Slavonian oak casks. The palate is dry, with medium (+) acidity, tannins and alcohol (13.5%). This is a very well-balanced and smooth wine, with medium (+) flavor intensity and a long finish. It is probably at its peak now, with a decant, but should continue to show well for at least another three to five years. WS 92
