Ruby. Blackberries, anise, vanilla, spices, dark fruits and liquorice nose, medium intensity. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, blackberries, cassis, blueberries, juicy with texture, actually not that far on development, yet lovely to enjoy now as well. 89

For a second wine in a so-so year, this really is not bad at all. Not a lot of personality, a little too much tannin for the fruit, a straightforward raspberry and raw wood aroma. But a perfectly reasonable wine for an evening meal and decent value. Score: 87. Relative to expectations : 0

Joanne Bordeaux Trip 2018 (Bordeaux): The nose showed wild herbs up front with crushed black cherry, dried florals, undergrowth, and hints of animal musk. I found soft textures on the palate, offset by zesty red and blackberry fruit with penetrating spice and brisk acidity. The finish was medium long showing tart berry fruits, lingering brisk acids and fine tannin.

Not horrible for the price. Not really to complex but a decent inexpensive wine none the less.
