(Opened to breathe 24hr) plums, apple, spice on the nose - not very Pinot, but then much less extracted on the palate than I expected. Medicinal notes; nice acidity. In case I was losing it, poured a comparative ABC Isabelle - the CP doesn’t have the grip or the freshness, but it’s not bad for what it is…

If cherry pie could be wine, this is it. Dark red, cherry and floral notes. I wonder if the cherry would be as prominent in a blind tasting, without the label to prime the brain? Lots of life left.

Drank this wine over 2 days. The first day, really closed down and tight. Had 1 glass and hoped that it would improve the second day.
Day 2 - really started to shine! On the nose lots of bright ripe cherries, pleasant notes of vanilla, candied apple, and some nice burgundy traits. The palate is medium bodied, rich, opulent, the tannins are nicely integrated at this point. Decent finish. Not a huge fan of pinot to start with, but really enjoyed this wine. It is smooth, powerful, very flavorful, and really started to open up. Feels like this would have a long life ahead of it, especially since I decanted it for close to 24 hours and really was much more enjoyable on day 2. If you have this wine, I highly recommend a long decant. This is a nice wine, great California pinot that has hints of Burgundy for 1/4 of the price. Be patient with it, it will reward you! Cheers!

So lame. Too manipulated with cherry. Hundred Acre should be embarrassed,
