Clove, white pepper, eucalyptus, leather & some forest floor on the nose. Fruity notes of mulberry & blackcurrant. The palate has pencil shavings, herbal notes and a mixture of red and dark fruits. It’s dry but juicy too. The perfect amount of acidity!
After the wine being open for over an hour it very quickly died. Was tasty at 1st but defo past it’s prime

It’s smoothed hugely now. Tannins have softened out completely. Cherries, dark fruits, pepper, menthol/eucalyptus and some oak too. It’s prob a touch past it’s prime but I’ll still enjoy it 😉

Cherry and black fruits, pepper, spice, and some stalkiness with a confected edge... or maybe stewed... I wondered if it was something to do with the storage of this bottle. On the light side of medium bodied. Excellent balance and finish. Needed an hour of air and improved from there.

No rating change from over two years ago. This is maintaining its fresh pepper, berry fruitiness. Love it. These Hilltop grapes are hitting the mark on so many levels. Plenty of distance left in its tank but probably will peak in the next 3-5 years.
