The color was brownish red. The cork split in half during extraction, but I was able to complete the extraction without particles enter the wine. With aeration, the flavor was reasonably well balanced. The Tannins were subdued. The fruit was present. The flavor profile at best can be called "muddy." This bottle was more enjoyable than some of the prior bottles of the same vintage.

About two years since last visit, but this time positively surprised. Of course, kind of a everyday barolo and not the most complex one, however way more developed and ready to go no. Good state to enjoy this one now given the rather linear and not too complex style. Start to enjoy phase in my book, but do not expect this to be a long distance runner in any way.

This wine continues to underperform and disappoint. It is not well balanced. it is a bit acid. It really has not developed with more bottle age.
