The bouquet seemed fine although somewhat monolithic. However there was a bitter taste on the finish that diminshed enjoyment of this wine (and which I had never tasted in one of these). I conclude that it was a spoiled bottle and therefore don't rate it here.

Verticals of BC wines - Burrowing Owl Cab Sauv, Black Hills Nota Bene, Osoyoos Larsose Grand Vin (Sharon & Guy's): Clear pale cherry core of moderate intensity to the edge with a thin watery rim - youthful. Clean herbal/spicy nose with clove and nutmeg predominating - moderate intensity. Dry (but soft) on the palate with minerals and cranberry flavours. Moderate+ acidity and tannins with moderate body and alcohol. There's a cranberry bitterness and astringency on the moderate+ finish with the minerality showing well. This is a bit lean but with food it shone. Very well made with potential. Elegantly styled - more time needed - this will develop into tea and cedar style as it ages.

Surprising variation between the 2003 and 2002 -- 2002 was fruity vs. drier 2003.

Has developed some more complexity with time. Struck me as significantly better than the last bottle.
