Found a dusty bottle in my cellar. Opened 2 hours. Color: Deep red/purple with a hint of age on the rim. On the nose: Pepper, lavender, cassis, some sour funk. On the palate: Cassis, sour cherry, lavender, rose, hint of pepper and baking spices, and that sour funk I smelled (a good thing). Finish is quite long and flavors are relatively broad. I am thinking it’s a bit past peak but it is quite good. I would drink up.

Not decanted, served in GlassVin stems. The nose was pretty right out of the gate with nice plum and dark berry fruit. Very little in the way of Syrah typicity, however, with almost no savory or peppery notes. Same was true on the palate where the fruit was forefront, but not big, but little to no Syrah flavors necessarily. The finish is where the vintage peeks out in it's lack of length and slightly dilute flavors. Drink up.

More balanced than the last bottle I popped 6 months ago. This one was still going strong with no signs of over-aging

Still drinkable. A touch medicinal and short finish. 3 years past the CT drink-by date so there's that.
