  Dense and almost fully opaque ruby red color. Rich and quite opulent nose with bold aromas of ripe blackcurrants, sweet bilberries, some sweet and toasty oak spice, a little bit of herbaceous bell pepper character and a hint of vanilla. The wine feels quite full-bodied and moderately concentrated on the palate with ripe flavors of juicy dark berries, succulent blackcurrants, savory oak spice, some toffee, a little bit of plummy fruit and a hint of vanilla. The wine is pretty big and round, but it fortunately packs enough structure to keep it well in balance: the acidity feels moderately high and the ample tannins are quite ripe, but still firm and grippy enough. The finish is long and powerful with quite complex, lingering flavors of chocolatey oak, blackcurrant jam, spicy wood, some tannic grip, a little bit of juicy plummy fruit, light toffee character, a hint of sweet blueberries and a touch of vanilla.
  
  A quite typical Cali Cab: big, ripe, weighty and oaky. However, the wine manages to pull it all off with remarkable ease and while the end result definitely isn't really up my alley, it is still surprisingly balanced and enjoyable. If I ever need a big and oak-forward Cabernet at a reasonable price, this is definitely a contender. Not your most memorable effort, but might actually pick up some depth and complexity with age if left in a cellar. A well-made entry-level Cab and priced according to its quality at 15,80€.

  En flaske drukket på hytta. Mørk rødlilla farge. Masse frukt dominert av solbær i lukten. Lett syrlig. Fyldig anslag, men holder ikke helt til slutten. Sorte bær også på smak. Relativt krydret. Ikke så lang ettersmak. Litt lakrissmak. En del tanniner.
