From a beautiful magnum and albeit we had no time to decant some decanting is definitely advisable. 2 years since we had this last , again from magnum and in the same place ( Papies 92) and definitely remains the beauty. Great wines , well made and barring 2003 we feel they are vintage immune ( or agnostic) delivering a sort of Bordeaux style experience with a bit of extra that comes from the Rhone valley. Soft spice, herbs and good red fruits drive the experience but it’s the balance and elegance that we always remember from their wines . Still not at peak albeit not far from it we felt and with a lot of life in the tank here. 93 easy

Mature color with a dark core. Amazing nose mixing a very Bordeaux-like tone of blackcurrant and warm earth/brick, with a provencal like note of mint and oregano. Medium to full bodied attack, lots of acidity up front, then some rounded tannins on the middle framing a fine concentrated fruit most reminiscent of redberries and raspberries. The aftertaste is long, but rather "tight". This is not a wine giving much pleaser just for drinking, for that the acidity is too high. on the other hand, this is a perfect wine for hearty food like lamb. Given the price, however, I would have expected more.

I love wines from this Domaine. They somehow manage to capture the warmth and sun of the South with the class and freshness of more prestigious regions. This follows suit. Just entering early maturity. Should be a real pleasure for the next 10+ years. Yum. (94)

Needs quite a bit more time for me. Attractive nose but a little disjointed on the palate. Will return in 5 years.
