Found a bottle of this in the cellar not in my inventory a potentially nice surprise at 13 years old? Some fruit still with all tannins mostly resolved, drinkable. Age hasn't benefited particularly, a bit oaky and green, agree with another review that there is a hint of smoke. An okay mid-week Bordeaux.

Upon first opening, a smoky Cab flavor, under the influence of Carmenere or maybe Malbec? Definitely new world. Shallow, closed down on the first night despite hours in open air. Earth, acidity, West Coast Cab nose in spades. Green shading, bell pepper and short finish. With more time, takes on simpler flavors -- it basically becomes a Cali Cab. Not what I look for in a BDX.

Young Pressac-Leognan 50/50 Cab-Merlot with dark red plum color with a diminished nose of cherries and spice notes. Medium bodied, lively with well integrated tannins and alcohol (14%). Black fruit flavors with hints of tobacco and bark are presented on the mid palate. The medium length finish shows promise. This wine should improve with age. Nice balance and proportion with just enough complexity to keep one’s interest.
