I enjoyed the colour of this wine tremendously, rich golden colour with nice legs. On the nose, ripe peaches, fresh apricots, fresh honey almost beeswax, hints of chrysanthemums after a bit of breathing. A rich and luscious body and the wood has been well integrated. A balanced wine with its high acidity shining through. Would have preferred lower alcohol to make it more food friendly especially for curries and spicy Chinese dishes. But overall great value for money

At home. Drank over 2 days. Appearance is clear, medium intensity, gold colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of rich citrus orange, marmalade, apricots, honey, almond, oxidative caramel, vanilla marble cake. Developing. On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium+ alcohol (13.5%), full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of rich citrus orange, marmalade, apricots, honey, almond nuts, caramel. Long finish. Very good quality. Powerful and strong. Acidity better than expected. Already clearly oxidative and drinking very well if you like the style. Keep longer only if you want even more oxidative quality. Spends 1.5 years in new French oak.

More oxidized than in 2014, fragrant. Not a bad match for steamed lobster, in the same way as an older Loire Chenin.
