Darker fruit profile, palate a little narrow and dark. Some coarse tannins on the back end. Maybe closing down a bit as it isn't as fresh as prior bottle.

Darker fruit profile, with black cherries on top of a mildly tart palate. Refined and vibrant. Slightly darker fruit profile than I was expecting. Drink now with some air or hold.

Had this with whitefish steamed in a foil pack with olive oil, garlic, green/red bell peppers, sea salt, and pepper, along with rice. A fairly good pairing.
On opening this wine is very acidic bordering on tart. With about 45 minutes of air, however, very nice gamay strawberry/cherry fruit comes out with a helping of white pepper and underbrush. A bit later, the acid is actually upstaged by both the fruit and prominent tannins; the finish lengthens here. This has all of the makings of a great wine, but needs at least 3 years before getting there. 90, with plenty of upside potential.

Fine, red and black fruited with a little pepper. Fresh but without much depth. A fine wine with food.
