Cellier Wine Fair (Intercontinental Hotel): Mid intensity in the nose, lemon notes with spicy oak and subtle almond and walnut, buttery hints, youthful. Dry, medium+ body, medium intensity, medium acid and alcohol, meon, oaky, buttery texture, balanced overall, medium finish. Good quality, pleasant straightforward wine, mid price.

Cellier Wine Fair (Atheneum Intercontinental Hotel, Athens, Greece.): If the term "good value Burgundy" sounds paradoxical to you, give this a try. Elegant nose of green apple, pear and citrus fruit. Medium-bodied and quite generous on the palate with balance, nice fruit concentration and freshness. Satisfying aftertaste.

{diam, 13%} The bottom end of AOC white burgundy used to be pretty dire stuff; this is not. It’s supple and clean-smelling, with only a light seasoning of oak; the acid is fairly soft, matching the grapefruit and melon flavours in scale. It’s medium-bodied; really a bit dull, but not otherwise faulty.

Consistent with my previous note. Great value white burgh and a perfect pairing with sushi!

Good basic chardonnay, feels a bit like a petit chablis, perhaps a tad more fruit.
