With trufflely mushroom risotto. Really pretty with classic sangio profile. Like the dark cherry chocolate finish. This is drinking about as good as it will get. Tannins are melty. Medium length. This is not a head turner but a very respectable and correctly made brunelli.

"Boring" Brunello. But works perfect on a summer evening with LOTS of decanting, especially in the fridge for days. Variation in bottles from one with a complete body to the other that was quite thin and simple.

Keep it in the fridge for a few days....decants perfectly. Gets past that first impression that is not going to be what you want. Will surprise you after about a week....maybe two!!

Drank alongside the 07 Vigna Manapetra. This is much better, greater depth, richness, and overall complexity. Has also aged much better and is currently a pointe. Classic brunelli flavors of dark cherry, forest floor, and wild mushroom. With homemade pasta with a wine-mushroom sauce... perfect.

Decanted for around 30 minutes. Medium to dark ruby color with some garnet towards the rim. Nose showed some maturity with some funky, earthy mushroom type notes, bloody meat, sour cherry and a bit of spiced oak coming through. Really nice. Similar flavors on the palate with a mix of tart cherry and rustic, earthy flavors. Hint of cedar cigar box as well. Medium+ acid, medium tannins. Only weak spot on this wine was the finish but overall really nice and apparently a steal at the sale price paid.
