Garnet in color with light bricking. Aromas of cherry, earth, tobacco, and rose petal. Medium body, acid, and finish, with flavors of cherry, orange peel, black tea, and dried spices. Solid sangiovese, and well made in a style that I like, but perhaps a little pricey at $50. I accidentally pulled this (1 in holding) bottle instead of one of the couple of non-riserva bottles in this vintage I have, so maybe I'll pop one of those next to compare.

solid offering, but nothing special. Took about 30 minutes to open up. Typical brunello nose, good mix of nutmeg and black fruits in the mouth. Finish is lacking somewhat. Went well with red sauce pasta dish. Drink or Hold.
