very nice, lots of complexity with spices galore, also some fruit but I would say this wine was "wild"... a great experience but a wine to be drunk occasionally... really nice nonetheless.. my last

good but not as good as my bottle a month ago, this never did open up fully, it had nice but 'hiding' red fruit and spice, structure (acid -- which I do like) was in the front seat... needed to see a little more fruit / body to balance the nice acidity and structure and it didn't have it (at least on this night)... again I took my own advice and decanted at 2pm for a 6pm dinner... this was outdone by the '98 Beaucastel Sedge brought

decanted at noon, back in bottle at 2pm... both on pnp and when re-bottling this seemed to have some of all the elements (acid, fruit - red, touch of earth) but in smaller quantities... the acidity stood out and I was wondering if it was closed / needed air, or if its fruit had gone away... well when we popped for dinner at 630 it had moved slightly in the right direction, then over the two hours it blossomed into a beautiful red fruit with much spice and beautiful acidity wine... wow -- this was great... sooooo happy that I have three more... I would recommend a 4-5 hour decant at this point
