Very inky cork! Dark ruby color on first pour. Rusty aroma. Not much there on first sip -- on the lighter end of medium bodied. Aerating through the Vinturi brings out some licorice notes. Cherry as well on the palate, lightly sweet. Not very deep or complex...but this is not a wine that requires it. It's just a daily quaff. Seemed to improve slightly after a few days with some Thanksgiving leftovers.

This wine is not spectacular but I got it for making beef stew and always enjoy the 2nd half bottle while the stew stews. (And, the stew ... is simple, easy and oh so good.)

Deep garnet color with notes of meat, light nice spice, cherry and plum. The meat dominates on a tasting with some dark plum and cassis. The wine is a bit unbalanced with a short tart acid finish.

Pleasant, soft, well-made Côte du Rhone.
