Light but flavorful; juicy and bright. The comparison with Gamay is apt. Had this with a mix of leftovers (eggplant parmigiana, lamb chops, ravioli in sage and butter sauce) and it worked well with everything.

Pale ruby color. Decanted for > 1hr. Flowers, red berries, strawberries with a touch of earth. Lithe and light bodied. Elegant. Really sings with food.

PopnPour, tasted over 3 hrs -minimally semi-translucent, med red slight purple -moderately expressive floral, bubble gum, gamay, wet stone aromatics, with the slightest hint of funk -med acidity, med- weight, relatively sappy mid-palate has distinctive frappato profile though not overly complex, some wild strawberry, med tannins -typical features of a frappato, very good quality, not quite as complex as Occhipinti

This is a delightful light bodied red wine from Sicily. Fragrant nose packed with raspberry flavors.

Surprisingly the wine is oxidized. Will return to the vendor tomorrow.
