  • I agree mostly with both tasting notes here in what they say, although unfortunately I agree more with the first one by Joe_Montana when I consider the quality. It does have lightly minerally aromatics of violets, salinity and VERY light purple fruit, and a silky texture, so it's pretty enough. Maybe like smelling a Cotes du Rhone from very far away. But it's so thin with so little fruit and even less acid that I didn't enjoy it that much. Drinkable? Yeah, but I've had better Mencia for half the price (Xestal) and Mencia around the same price (such as Petalos) with tons more energy and character. Maybe this was an off vintage, or simply didn't have verve to last 8 years. Or maybe it's the vineyard quality (they don't seem to have produced more than two vintages in '11 and '12.)

  • Purple flowers, violets, silky, lovely, light anise notes with iron and iodine; soft tannins, good intensity. Great wine of terroir.

  • Debo recatar. No lo decanté y es un vino que necesita al menos una hora de aireación. Me pareció falto de fruta y corto en boca. Un punto acuoso. No me cuadra con otras notas de cata.
