Dark garnet color with some bricking. Nose of cherries, rose, garrigue - still quite primary. Zippy acidity, minerally backboned, grippy tannins, very interesting palate with cherries and flowers and anise and tobacco leaves. Medium long ending with some hints of vanilla and aromatic wood. This is still young but very enjoyable now. I would hold on to it for 2-3 years more at least to let it get more integrated - or give it a long decant (I did 4 hours) to let it open up. Excellent.

Med body, dark red fruit, bakers chocolate, cedar, very tannic on first opening with new oak still showing- drank 1/2 bottle with artisan pizza- amazing pairing, recorked and left at 66 degrees for 48 hrs Tannins completely incorporated, still beautiful red fruit and cedar but mid palate with “ choc covered cherries” and a lingering finish. Beautifully balanced

Complex and elegant nose. Some sweet oak. Sweet cherries and hints of cedary oak, but also very subtle notes of minerality. Some chocolate notes. Very nice and inviting. Quite fullish palate. Good tannic structure a bit dry. Perfumed fruit impression. Integrated oak. Lovely hints of gravel, violets, cherries and rubber. Dare I say elegantly modern in expression? I think it will benefit from cellaring as the oak will be less pronounced.

Empson Tasting (Bin 75): High toned, sweet red cherry, liqueur, licorice on the finish; pretty, didn't like as much as past vintages.
