  • Clear med ruby, with garnet notes. Clean, developing nose with med- intensity to the aromas of ripe raspberry, forest floor, oak, baking spice and warm bread. Dry, med+ acidity, med tannins, med alcohol and med intensity to the flavors of raspberry, cherry, mushroom and leather. Med- length and a fairly simple finish. Overall a decent wine, but lacking a more complex nose I'd expect of a pinot at this price point.

  • I didn't pick up much from the aroma; some smokiness, leather maybe. In the mouth it was light-bodied and nicely balanced. The cherry notes intermingled with the smokey character ending with some peppery spice. I think Sean did a nice job with this vineyard blend. The Widdoes is still my favorite.
