Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Pop and pour. Showing a touch brown around the edges, but mostly red to tawny in the center. On the nose, shows some oxidation, with very dry red cherry, sandalwood, some va, and dried leather. Entirely tertiary. On the palate, good acidity still, denser than I expected this wine to be, and the tannin kicks in very strongly before allowing a touch of dried fruit and herb to peer out. This bottle has probably seen better days, but this showed well with wagyu tritip.
