Color: Medium purple Nose: Very Earthy and Mushroomy Notes Taste: Heavy Blackberry and Earthy Notes upfront; Lots of Plum, Spices and even some Earthy Mushroom and Coffee notes lingers Comp’s: Classic Left Bank Bordeaux with Nice Cab Sauv in the Under $30 Range; The nose is quite unique and is much different to the taste profile; pretty solid with food especially hearty cheeses

Decanted for an hour and paired with grilled Delmonico steak dinner. Nice fruit, floral, and earth on the nose that followed through on the palate with dust and leather. A little thin on the mid palate. Some green olive just before the finish. Fruit, earth, and dusty finish. Worked well with the meal.

Bone dry old world wine. Drank straight out of the bottle. That was a mistake. Tannins are still strong which makes the wine angular and difficult to drink. Please decant for hours before drinking and pair it with a nice steak. This is not your sipping wine for the evening. This is a strong and brooding, with lots of rough edges, strong tobacco and leather smell. Decent wine for the price.

Coarse drying tannin, rough dusty wine. 6 years old and not yet enjoyable, so future is a crap shoot.

A reliable château, a bit rough, a good, firm finish, missing, however, some complexity in the midtaste.
