Nose with cherries, some perfumed almost “stinky” flowers, touch of mushrooms present, Piemonte acetone, but most of all pure alcohol that ruins the scent. Palate shows rather harsh tannins, high acidity, unbalanced with dark and dense jammy fruit underneath, and again, loads of alcohol. This is not a balanced and well-made Barolo in my book, but way too hot and alcoholic. May level out with significant cellar time, but I doubt it. (86 – 88)
