Found on clearance at a wine shop in Madrid in late July. Drank with dinner that night and was pleasantly suprised. Tropical fruit on the nose and defintely some oak but still enough acidity and balance.

Completely oxidised. Sherry aroma, tasted like very strong apple juice with vodka added. Almost worked with pork but undrinkable on its own. Poor storage was a likely problem here.

Still holding up well, but maybe tipping into a little bit of flabbiness. Very deep color, very big mouthfeel, and quite alcoholic. Somewhat oaky, but still enough acidity to keep it nicely balanced. Tones of pineapple, vanilla. Fairly long finish. Overall very enjoyable.

Light gold; rich and buttery with the piquancy of high intensity on the nose; on the palate full and round but with a bit of mid-palate brackish-ness I think due to the intensity; slightly tiring to drink; not complex and about medium length.

Impressive chardonnay I picked up for $24 at a local wine store on closeout. Deep gold in color, white flowers, pear and vanilla on the nose. Large scaled in the mouth, showing toasty oak, some earthiness and good acidity. First time with this producer, and I am impressed with the quality. Absolute steal at the price I paid and still worth it at $10 - $15 more.
