Community Tasting Notes (3)

  • my final bottle and I'm not unhappy to see it go. It opened beautifully, but in a few very short minutes it became a bit harsh and lost typicity. I never tried it later. Judging from my 3 notes on this wine, either I'm a very inconsistent taster (possible) and/or this is a volatile wine. It's cheaper than Ar.Pe.Pe. Rosso, but penny wise....

  • surprisingly, given that just 5 months ago the tannins were intense, this was well integrated for the first 30 minutes and then turned flabby. Nice flavor, but it lacked a bit of acid, and definitely weak structure. Hard to draw conclusions since this is only 5 months after a very different experience.

  • I began drinking this with around 1 hr of air in a Burgundy Zalto, and the tannins were still intense, even with food. It's got good balance and a nice nose, and at only 12.7 degrees. I'll try it tomorrow with a day in the fridge, but, probably, this still needs 3-5 years. Promising at the price.
