Coffee, bitter chocolate, wet bark, dark cherry on the nose, with a hint of lilac. Dark fruit on the palate, round feel on the mouth, fruity acids like biting into a plum, a hint of vanillin oak on the finish. Beautifully balanced.

13.9% abv. Dark ruby, very expressive aromas. Ripe plum, leather, a little olive and a touch of mint. Great depth and length. An excellent and delicious claret-styled wine at its peak.

Although this is a blend with a fair amount of merlot in it, it reminds me most of an EMH Black Cat cab. Medium bodied with good acidity, moderate tannins, and a streak of spice on the finish. This was good on its own and, because of the acidity, also went very well with food. Really wish I had more.

Absolutely wonderful with beef tenderloin on thanksgiving. Nice structure - tannins have faded slightly, deep fruit with some brightness, plum and tobacco. This has rewarded the few years we gave it. 6 hour decant.

Dark garnet hard to see through. Cherries, plums and raw meat nose. Still going strong, full bodied and structured. Best with food, needed about 30 minutes to open. Long, ending with a nice touch of coffee acidity.
