Rich fruit and layered accompanied with delicate spice from the well integrated oak. Multiple layers of complexity. This has evolved into a great Pinot noir.

Lots of fruit on entry—black cherry and, maybe, black raspberry or blueberry hiding underneath—with some serious fruity “sweetness.” Some spiciness mid- to rear palate—black pepper. Some alcoholic heat, again, towards the back of the palate. Alcohol may be adding to the sweetness.

I really enjoyed the tasting room sample I had last year at the winery, but after a year and the opportunity to enjoy the bottle, I found this to be improved and excellent. Spicy, mixed red berries, balanced acidity, evolving complexity, and a juicy mouthfeel. Great long finish with lingering notes of cola.

Delicious wine, not at the high end of the QPR--I think Chenoweth is a bottling I have to absorb if I want the Hyde and the Moses-Hall at any price. Definitely a good one to drink if you don't want to wait. Fruit up front, lots of raspberry and the spice that James Hall wants to get out of his barrel program.

Bright cherries and raspberries and cola, but not as complex as other P&H I've had.
