  This was superb - bought for last year' Christmas lunch and this bottle was all the better for staying still for a year.
  Lovely ruby colour - bright vivid and absolutely no sign of age.
  Nose of sweet blackberries and red fruits and then pronounced pencil shavings. A rich and lovely, bright nose with just a trace of dustiness.
  A lovely mouthful with a mix of sweet blackberries and strawberries with savoury, perhaps even smoky, flavours. A sweet, lingering finish with just a hint of earth.

  Classic Cali pinot profile. Even at 10 years old it was still a bit hot. Fruit was present, but drink up.

  This is drinking beautifully.
  Deep burgundy colour but on deeper inspection there is some dried blood and brownish notes too.
  A really lovely nose: a melange of fruits with some leather and maybe just a little chocolate. Fruits that are deep without being intense. No real signs of age on the nose.
  Mellow but complex fruits in the mouth - still with some structure. Christmas spice. Dry but still floral-fruit on the finish.
