Still bright and flavorful after all these years, but on the edge of turning. Classic RRV aromas and flavors, fuller bodied for a Cali Pinot with a longish, silk finish. Bob Cabral was a master, and is sorely missed at WS.

Medium ruby color. Bright red cherry fruit with a touch of tartness, which is a little surprising given the age. Subtle oak finish. More restrained than many CA Pinots. I wished for a little more complexity, but good example of a classic Pinot profile.
3/26/2023 This still hits all the right notes for fruity but restrained. The brightness makes it a good food match, and the finish is interesting as an aperitif.

Sorry no tasting notes (will do next bottle) except 2011 vintage has aged nicely, as expected, and Allen remains one of the fantastic W/S standouts. :-p

Beautifully fragrant Pinot nose. Full, balanced palate with lots going on, especially a lovely spiciness. Drinking perfectly on PNP. The best Pinot Noir I've had in some time.
