Amazing wine, and showing very well right now. Lovely nose of cedar, clove and floral notes. Silky smooth on the palate, with a feature of red fruits and some barrel spice. Medium finish. Delicious and not particularly thin like some of the other Selyem bottlings from the same vintage. Wish I had purchased more of this Peay vineyard.

Wouldn’t ordinarily recommend a decant for Pinot, but this definitely needs an hour plus in the glass to show its stuff. Sweet cherry, rose petals, clove and sweet Asian spices on the nose - lovely. Sweet bing cherry, clove and sandalwood on the palate. Medium bodied. Sweet, round finish. A bit flat and somewhat bitter initially, but stick with and you will be rewarded.

lovely nose of red fruit and rose petals; pure slightly sweet cherry and some cedar: pretty, but the structure is fading, and there is not enuf complexity to make up for it. I liked this better a couple of years ago, and am now gravitating to the earthier oregon styles. Oops, more garrigue and earth the next day--would have guessed this was due to sediment in the remains but no gross sediment to be seen

In full stride. Cola, earth, sweet cherry, blood orange; tingly acidity. Best Peay I’ve had.

Notes of cinnamon vanilla wood and black cherry, with a subtle floral nose underneath. Complex and fruity and very California.
