This was best on the second day when a little feral edge came out that was missing on day one. It's slightly funky but still fundamentally clean, very juicy in a blackberry or mulberry vein, and exactly what you hope for with one of these wines.

Semi-translucent ruby garnet to rim; nose shows sweet red fruit, garrigue, youth, with air came some chocolate and vanilla; palate shows ripe red fruit, mineral undertones (schist), a sappy middle, a certain meatiness, and a bitter Grenache driven finish; I called CdP with a classic blend of GSM; could improve with mid term cellaring but wine started to degrade after a few hours of being open.

A very pleasant wine, not a ton of sophistication. The wine needed some time and coaxing to really start to let some of the fruit out so i recommend a 1 hour decant. A great drinking wine that really represents the terrior of Collioure.
