I stumbled across this bottle at Costco and, as is often the case, it was the only bottle left in that store, which was unfortunate because after tasting it, mostly what I wanted to write was "Wow!" This was on the lighter bodied side for a CDP blanc with mineral driven stone fruit, some citrus and some baking spice notes and an acceptably long finish. This was very well balanced and drinking very nicely today, but the biggest 'wow" came from the price, $9.97! At just under $10, this had one of the best qprs that I've come across in a long time.

Vin blanc from Châteauneuf-du-Pape is rare. Much rarer than reds from the Pope's New Crib appellation. Only a relatively small number of acres in CdP are dedicated to white grapes. So this is a bit of a rare treat. This was my first CdP blanc (so far as I can recall). I loved it! Aromatic, floral and crisp with Grenache blanc and Roussane from small islands of chalky soils. Citrusy and fresh. $30. Would buy again if it were cheaper, although I think lots of vin blanc from CdP is even pricier. Overall value: 3.5 stars of 5. Drink now to about 2018.
