  Some barnyard on the nose with bright almost effervescent cherry fruit and mild bananas. Lifted, almost candied cherries, earth and some herbs. Mild tannins and nice acids give the wine structure. The fruit has harmonized fairly well with the other components on the palate. The carbonic maceration was obvious. The wine tasted young with great fruit. But there was very little evolution which was disappointing. No sense of getting closer to pinot but more along the lines of a Duboeuf Beaujolais with less intense fruit.

  Wow, in great shape - plenty of dark fruit and good acidity married with an earthy/mushroom/meaty base. Super enjoyable and clearly benefitting from the age.
