Excellent again. This should last another 5-7 years with ease. Tasted at it's best after 2 1/2 hours in a wide-bottomed decanter. Rich, powerful, lessened oak, cassis, med + acidity, long finish. Great stuff!!! Only 50 cases made. I had an '08 of this in Feb '20 that couldn't hold a candle to this one.

Undrinkable! When I opened this wine chemical smells overwhelmed any other nose. I put this in a decanter to see if the bad aromas would dissipate over time and they did tone down a bit but never fully went away. There was no fruit in evidence at all. Very disappointing!

Gorgeous, opulent, seductive Syrah. The, oh, let's go,with Jessica Alba of Syrahs. Full of body, but oh so much more! Silky and smooth, with voluptuous sweet fruit and plenty of structure. Blueberries, plums and a hint of cassis, with sweet spice notes: vanilla, cinnamon (?) and a hint so violets. Some gaminess and a dollop of tar on the finish that lasts for 45 seconds or more. This is a Syrah to delete the senses and the intellect.

(Force Majeure Collaboration Series Reserve Syrah Ciel du Cheval Vineyard Red Mountain) An aromatically fascinating wine with Creamsicle, plum, vanilla, dried orange, and barrel notes. The palate is rich, soft, and textured in feel with a lingering finish. 98% Syrah, 2% Viognier. Aged 38 months in French oak (100% new). 14.8% alcohol. 50 cases produced. Ben Smith (Cadence) winemaker.
