Drinking quite young with excellent color preservation. Still a dark red. Nose is Syrah like but not cooked or underripe. Decent concentration and mouth feel.

Similar to Jazzman's notes- there wasn't a ton going on here. That said, there weren't any off flavors either and it was in pretty good shape for a 13 year old wine. It's just that where the fruit has receded there weren't many secondary characteristics to replace it. It was certainly tasty and I enjoyed it.

Flavors: Black stuff. Blackberry and black pepper. Restrained.
Overall: This wine may be on the decline, perhaps due to improper storage conditions. It didn't have that big brutish profile of a petite syrah. Was rather tame and lifeless. I suppose that might be what a ten year old PS tastes like. I expected a much bigger wine.

Decanted for 3 hrs. Full body to it, inky color. Very balance, would of liked a longer finish. My favorite is still the 06 PS.

Was well rounded. A good (not great) example of petite syrah. It didn't blow me away.
