Green apples and a touch of pineapple. Nice tart sweetness. This wine will last for 20 more years. What a German Riesling should be, not the bone dry all acid style that wastes the lovely fruitiness of the grape.

A bit dry for a typical Spat but only about like a Kab. It has good body and tastes op apple and tropical fruit. It drinks nicely on the front , in the middle and at the finish. Nice residual acid.

Notes consistent with prior two bottles. Green apple, lemon and pear are the primary mid-body notes with enough acidity to provide structure and balance, but not as much as some of the top 2012 rieslings. The wine shows well now (served between 48-51F) and has the structure to last several more years while improving a moderate amount. But it's by no means inaccessible today.

Another very nice showing for this wine. Perhaps not as complex or as strong in acidity as some other 2012 rielsings, but still quite well made. Green apple upfront along with lemon and tart pear. No tropical fruit notes here. Generally slightly less apparent sweetness than the prior bottle. Neither was "sweet", but this bottle seemed to show better overall balance. Based on the fruit and acidity, should continue to age well.
