Mid yellow with golden edges. Fairly intense orchard fruits (like the inside of an apple bin), Golden Delicious apples, some Williams pear, chalky, river stones, fresh earth and tidal pool. A sprightly fresh veering to strident acidity greets the palate with a touch of almond paste on the mid-palate, linear palate shape, focus but without the intensity of a top example. Flavours of juicy green apples, wet river stones and some savoury old wood notes. Perhaps a tad lean, as is his style, with a mineral stony grippiness this is fair without wowing

Light greenish yellow. Salt spray nose. Middle weight with some of the perceptible fat of the vintage, but still a tart, underripe lemony, brothy mix which is just fine for AC Chablis and certainly worked well with shellfish tonight. A simple pleasure, ready to go.
