Vivid flowers, mint, maybe dill, sweet yellow plums, Golden Delicious apples, minerals, dried ginger, hint of orange peel. On the dense and sweet side of Spätlese. Pineapple in the lovely long and intense aftertaste. Just a little aggressive, more "hearty" than "ethereal"--I wonder if this might benefit from a few more years of age? But really enormous fun as it is right now.

Yellow pears and yellow apples with a hint of lemon. There’s a nice acidic streak but it’s somewhat hidden by the dense fruit. Slightly ripe for the pradikat. Still drinks fairly young. Pleasurable now, better in 5 years, will last another 15-20.

Great nose of pears, slate, and citrus. On the palate rich almost at an Auslese level of density with golden apple, pear, mineral, and citrus. Long finish with mouth watering acidity. Hold 5+ years.

This is really closed, inward, though there's obvious depth and a wonderful stoniness to the otherwise ripe pear, pineapple flavor. After four or five days it does open up a little, particularly on the very long finish. Very stolid stuff, that seems like it's for laying down.
