  • A bit of petrol and waxy resin on the nose, carried by fresh melon. Ripe, Braeburn apples begin and finish the experience, crescendoing to honey and ripe peaches mid-palate, and returning to apple notes on the backend.

  • Pop and pour. 11% abv. Very pale straw color. Slow, thick legs. Initial nose has musky fruit intermixed with gooseberries, and some loamy earth in the background. Initial palate is light-bodied with residual sugar coating the tongue; brisk acidity on the back palate keeps it from getting too sappy; there's a hint of wet stones on the finish that helps round out the overall palate, giving it some interest. The residual sugar gives the wine body, the acidity gives it lift keeping it fresh and zesty. Nice summer sipper paired with fresh summer grub: like sliced tomatoes, mozzarella and basil on fresh baguette drizzled with extra virgin olive oil. Simple but satisfying.

  • Muller Thurgau from Oregon? Wow.
This was a pleasant surprise I ran across in a supermarket tasting. I would prefer a lower price point. I drank it with Mexican food.
This bottle is perfect for the summer. The alcohol is low (11%), there were great lemon & lime flavors, the acidity was high and there was some residual sugar. This is not very complex but a solid summer wine that is best served with a nice chill.
