Enjoyable Chablis with aromas of baked apple, lemon and almond. The flavors also show baked apple/lemon/almond but add pear, lime, melon and herbal notes. Medium acidity/minerality- drinking well now but should last a couple more years.
Gentle nose, with old oak and far-off hints of yellow fruit. Palate is fruit-forward, with sweet flavours of passionfruit and rockmelon. Round, mouth-filling texture, but still controlled by clean acidity. Lingering finish.
Interesting served blind alongside the '11 preuses. Both are young, tight, and linear. Qualitatively similar, with the Preuses showing just a bit more depth and richness. Could use a few more years of age, if you want to play that lottery.
