This was a delightful surprise. Light, brick red in color. Very aromatic, with developing secondary aromas of leather and smoke over cherry, cola and violet. Light-to-medium in body but very flavorful, with cherry, cola and well-integrated smoky notes. Persistent finish. First rate.

Willamette Valley wine makers were hoping 2011 would evolve to a place like the 2007 vintage. This wine has good flavor, but is very subtle. Will open a 2011 Reserve from Nicholas Estate to compare.

PnP. Lighter color for a Pinot, and transparent. Some bricking noticeable. Pretty nose with earth and spices, and some oak. In a really good spot now.
