  • Light ruby with slight bricking, light fruit with soft acid. On the reserved side which is really appealing to my palate.

  • Light garnet with slight bricking, austere nose with some light anise notes. Restrained fruit with a light acid, well integrated tannins and a slight metallic undertone, sour sorrel and tart cane tannins. Starting to come alive with some open time on night one.

  • PNP. Garnet, cloudy. Red fruit, strawberry, cranberry. A bit of rhubarb. Medium light body. Well balanced. Elegant. Ready now but no rush.

  • Medium garnet, light lilac nose. Dry, light restrained fruit of ripe strawberries, some funky bitter cane tannins. Another night and I knew that this would improve, it's getting really good with a bit more open time, fruit is starting to come through. Tart currants along with the strawberry and a bit of rhubarb. I got this on the Berserker covid quarantine sale and went back for another sixer.

  • Much better than prior bottles. While rather lightweight, thin and almost watery, it now has some very nice aromas and flavors of red fruits (strawberry, cranberry), spice and rose petals. The rhubarb I experienced previously is just ae a background flavor now and the tartness that was so overpowering previously has subsided significantly. I generally prefer feminine/elegant pinots over the ripe, rich styles, but this lacks the depth, intensity, texture and grip I expect from even a feminine wine. Hope it continues to improve, but I don't think there is much upside.
