Casual White Burgundy (Yang Ming Seafood): This bottling is a rare sight. Heavy on oak use, slightly advanced and lacking freshness but makes up for it with the sheer weight.

Medium-deep straw yellow color. The nose feels big and ripe yet quite fresh and still surprisingly lactic with aromas of apple yogurt, creamy oak, some buttery tones, a little bit of toasty oak spice, light apricot tones, a hint of honeydew melon and a pineapple-driven touch of sweet exotic fruit. The wine is ripe, full-bodied and somewhat developed with rich flavors of spicy red apple and baked apple, some wizened peach tones, a little bit of browned bitter, light stony mineral tones, a hint of honeydew melon and a touch of toasty oak spice. Wonderfully bright acidity lends good sense of structure to the wine. The finish is long, rich and moderately buttery with flavors of dried yellow fruits, some honeyed richness, a little bit of baked apple, light toasty oak tones, a hint of savory oak spice and a touch of browned butter.
A rich, stylish and harmonious St. Romain white that has quite a bit of oak influence, but enough fruit to stand up to the woodier tones. Overall the fruit and oak characteristics have developed into a wonderfully rich and buttery direction without making the wine feel heavy or overdone in any way. A classic, rich and complex white Burgundy. Priced according to its quality at 50€.

SLDS Christmas with Gavin: Floral, peach and lemon on the nose. Palate is quite ripe, with a clean finish and medium length. Drinking nicely.
